All of them had been in my bigger Beth Moore studies at one time or another and then Erin came to join us and we all fit together!! There are seven of us and we have a great time together. We pray and laugh, and share and laugh!! It is so encouraging to be amongst these ladies!! So I thank Helen, Erin, Ota, Alice, Robin and Ginny for sharing your lives with me!! What a Blessing you all are!

Our Married Life-A New Blog!

Guess who has a new blog??? Jillian!! She decided to start one since she is a "married" lady now!!! Welcome to Jill and "Our Married Life!"

Alicia, Melissa and all you other young gals!! might have some great house making tips for Jill!!

Revolutionary Christmas

Just like looking into a candy store at Christmas, is the new fun blog sites I have found with great ideas for giving gifts from your talents. "Gifts that you make yourself or that are unique to what you're able to do!" (Revolutionary Christmas, Parkcrest Christian Church)

Such sites are Wee Folk Art, and Skip to My Lou and Sweet Tidings! I have spent time at these and have been able to begin one project from Skip to My Lou!

We are being Revolutionary with our Christmas this year in the way we give. There are three ways we will be giving this year:

1. Give Presence Gifts that give of yourself, your time and your presence
2. Give From Your Talents Gifts that you make yourself or that are unique to what you're able to do
3. Give Gifts That Do More Gifts that when you buy them, they give a bigger gift
Fair Trade! Buy fair trade gifts that are not only unique from around the world but help to break the cycle of poverty and dependency in the developing world. tradeasone.com, suubiafrica.org, nightlightinternational.com, Kiva.org, and Tom Shoes are just some examples.

We are focusing on bringing God close to those around us and to those in need. To lessen the commercial focus on Christmas! To bless others and show them a Savior, which is our main focus of Christmas! Jesus!

Traditional Christmas Crackers

Melissa from Elijah's Adventures had her Irish Thanksgiving pictures on her blog. There was a picture of a rolled silver paper tied at each end. I asked her about this and it is a tradition in Ireland at Christmas! I found this article and wanted to share it with you!! Thanks Melissa for the picture of the tradition!

This and That Saturday

The newlyweds have gone home, the house is back in order and we can breath for just a while! Today was a windy chilly day so I stayed inside keeping warm with homemade hot apple cider. I am trying to switch gears and tune into the Celebration of Christmas! I listened to James Taylor's Christmas album today and looked at my Food TV Christmas magazine. I have been in much pain and have the heating pads on me too and they are keeping me warm!! Have a Blessed Sunday!

We're Headed for a Sleigh Ride?

Today we are loading up and headed out to our Annual Day After Thanksgiving Sleigh Ride. OK, not a sleigh, but a van, and no snow!!

We will be eating at the Olive Garden for our traditional day after feast. We will watch the newlyweds open their wedding presents and have cake and pie for dessert.

Our whole immediate family will officially be together today!!!! What a fun time!!
